*خان پور اور گردونواح اور فتح پور کمال میں تعینات سنٹری ورکرز نے پنجاب حکومت کے نوٹیفکیشن کے مطابق 38 ہزار روپے ماہانہ تنخواہ دینے کا مطالبہ کیا۔ تاہم مقامی ٹھیکیدار نے ورکرز کو دھمکی دی کہ اگر 20 ہزار روپے پر کام کرنا ہے تو کرو، بصورت دیگر نوکری چھوڑ دو۔ محنت کشوں کے انکار پر ان کو نہ صرف فارغ کر دیا گیا بلکہ کئی دنوں کی مزدوری بھی ادا نہیں کی گئی۔ متاثرہ سنٹری ورکرز نے الزام عائد کیا ہے کہ انہیں زبردستی کم تنخواہ پر کام کرنے پر مجبور کیا جا رہا ہے۔ ان کا کہنا ہے کہ نوکری سے محروم ہونے کے بعد ان کے گھروں میں فاقے کی نوبت آ گئی ہے، جبکہ ٹھیکیدار مزدوروں کے بنیادی حقوق سلب کر رہا ہے۔ محنت کشوں نے وزیر اعلیٰ پنجاب، سیکرٹری لوکل گورنمنٹ اور کمشنر بہاولپور ڈویژن۔ ڈپٹی کمشنر رحیم یار خان ۔اسسٹنٹ کمشنر خان پورسے مطالبہ کیا ہے کہ واقعے کا نوٹس لیا جائے، ٹھیکیدار کے خلاف کارروائی عمل میں لائی جائے اور سنٹری ورکرز کو حکومت کے مطابق پوری تنخواہ دی جائے اور بحال کیا جائے تاکہ ان کے گھروں کے چولہے دوبارہ جل سکیں*
Sentry workers of Khanpur Satara Punjab were made unemployed for raising their voice for getting the salary approved by the Punjab government Sentry workers posted in Khanpur and its surroundings and Fatehpur Kamal demanded a monthly salary of Rs 38,000 as per the notification of the Punjab government. However, the local contractor threatened the workers that if they want to work for Rs 20,000, then do it, otherwise leave the job. On the refusal of the workers, they were not only dismissed but also not paid for several days. The affected sanitation workers have alleged that they are being forced to work for a low salary. They say that after losing their jobs, their homes have become starving, while the contractor is denying the basic rights of the workers. The workers have written to the Chief Minister of Punjab, Secretary Local Government and Commissioner Bahawalpur Division. Deputy Commissioner Rahim Yar Khan and Assistant Commissioner Khanpur have been demanded to take notice of the incident, take action against the contractor and pay the full salary of the sanitation workers as per the government and reinstate them so that the stoves in their homes can burn again.
