According to the family, Khalil Ahmed was abducted by robbers from Kachha on September 18 while he was going to a wedding.
In a video received later, the abductee was chained and tortured, and a ransom of Rs 7 million was demanded.
The family says that despite registering a case, the police have not taken any practical steps.
Khalil Ahmed’s wife and sister have appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and DPO Rahim Yar Khan to take immediate notice and recover the abductee.

اہل خانہ کے مطابق 18 ستمبر کو شادی میں جانے کے دوران خلیل احمد کو کچے کے ڈاکوؤں نے اغوا کیا۔
بعد ازاں موصول ویڈیو میں مغوی کو زنجیروں میں جکڑا اور تشدد کا نشانہ بناتے ہوئے 70 لاکھ تاوان کا مطالبہ کیا گیا۔
اہل خانہ کا کہنا ہے کہ مقدمہ درج ہونے کے باوجود پولیس نے کوئی عملی قدم نہیں اٹھایا۔
خلیل احمد کی بیوی اور بہن نے وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب مریم نواز شریف اور ڈی پی او رحیم یارخان سے فوری نوٹس لینے اور مغوی کی بازیابی کی اپیل کی ہے۔
