Positive results have started to emerge following a targeted police operation in the Kacha area of Rahim Yar Khan, where ten armed dacoits belonging to the Sikhani and Kosh gangs surrendered and laid down their weapons.
According to District Police Officer Irfan Ali Samoon, the surrender took place after police warnings and continuous pressure during the operation. The armed suspects appeared at the Kacha police post of Garhi Khair Muhammad Jhakk, under Bhung Police Station.
The surrendered dacoits were wanted in serious criminal cases including kidnapping for ransom, armed robberies, looting, and police encounters. The DPO stated that although the suspects have repented for their crimes, they will have to face legal proceedings in court.
